NOTA at third place in 36 Assembly in Bihar Poll, More than 9.61 lakh voters selected “None of the Above (NOTA)” option in Bihar Assembly election. In 60 seats, numbers of voters choose NOTA, which are greater than winning margin. Now it is very clear, people want only clean image face. Every party has to think about it, they have to go only with clean image face in next election.

Voter of Warisnagar hit maximum 9551 NOTA button. Overall around 2.5 percent voters hit the NOTA button. NOTA received more than the 864,856 votes won by HAMS, CPI (516,699 votes), Samajwadi Party, or SP (385,511), Bahujan Samaj Party or BSP (788,024), Nationalist Congress Party (185,437) and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (103,940).

As we see individual parties, the BJP has the highest vote share of 24.4%, followed by the Rashtriya Janata Dal that got 18.4% of the votes. NOTA was first used during the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh in November 2013 after Supreme court asked the Election Commission to provide the NOTA option on voting machines and ballot papers. The court said the right to vote and the right to choose NOTA are both part of the basic rights of voters.
