In 2010 Bihar assembly election JDU won 18 seats out of 32. According to Majhi, he was the main factor behind this. Out of 32, 7 seats are reserve for Scheduled Castes. Majhi’s son Santosh Suman contesting from Kutumba (SC).

In second phase on 16th Oct,2015 voter of 32 assembly of Arwal, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jahanabad, Kaimur and Rohtas district will cast their vote. In last election JDU – 18, BJP – 9, RJD – 2, LJP – 1 and Independent won 2 seats.

In election campaign Manjhi getting a very good response from the people. After PM Modi, he is second most popular campaigner from NDA. Manjhi is very popular among Dalits and Mahadalits but upper cast not very happy with him. Several times Majhi had given wrong statement against upper cast.

Manjhi served under multiple Chief Ministers like Chandrashekhar Singh, Bindeshwari Dubey, Satyendra Narayan Sinha, Jagannath Mishra, Laloo Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.

If NDA win maximum number of seats in second phase, Majhi’s role will become bigger in Bihar politics. Majhi is all set to take revenge from Nitish Kumar and Bihar assembly speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary. Only due to Uday Narayan Chaudhary, Majhi contesting election from Imamganj apart from Makhdumpur.

Let’s see, what happen after election result, smile continue on Majhi’s face or not, because we always seen Manjhi with smiling face.
